"Live Green, Vote Green" was Damian Kettlewell's kick-off party held on Saturday, April 11th at the Billy Bishop Legion. On Saturday, April 11th, Jodie and BC Green Party leader Jane Sterk participated in the annual Vaisakhi parade in South Vancouver. The event began at the Ross Street Sikh Temple before thousands of people started the 6-km procession. Jodie and Marc walked the entire route, which took 7 hours, while Jane left half-way through the march to represent the BC Greens at Surrey's Vaisakhi parade. Jodie, her husband Marc, and Jane wore Punjabi clothing to fully embrace the occasion. It was a wonderful festive event! Read Jodie's blog entry about the day.
